“Architectural Heritage – Bridging the Past with the Future”
(September 26–28, 2025)

The Byzantine and Christian Museum is participating in this year¢s European Heritage Days with the activity:

“Architectural Identity through the Traces of the Past: Churches, Secular Buildings, and the Memory of Place.”

This activity is designed for adult groups and includes themed guided tours highlighting the architectural heritage of the Byzantine, Post-Byzantine, and Modern periods.

September 26, 2025

  • “Tracing Church Architecture: Architectural Testimonies of Byzantium” & “Images: Architecture as Place and Symbol”
    → 10:00–11:00 & 11:00–12:00

September 27, 2025

  • “The Duchess of Plakentia¢s Mansion: 19th-Century Architecture in Athens” & “The Garden as Archaeological Landscape: Outdoor Tour”
    → 10:00–11:00 & 11:00–12:00

September 28, 2025

  • “The Loverdos Museum: Private Architecture of the Late 19th Century”
    → 10:00–11:00 & 11:00–12:00
